Typhoon Vicente attacks Hong Kong in the end of July. This typhoon is
very powerful. This was my first saw Typhoon signal No. 10. So horrible!!! In typhoon eve, I and my friend
went to HKCEC. Because there held Book Fair. We planned long time. Lastly, Vicente
disturb our planned. On that day, we line up to wait to join Book Fair in
footbridge. At that moment, I can know Vicente the power. I feel rain play in
my face and storm wind made people hard to move. Finally, we can safe arrival
to Book Fair at 4 p.m. And very lucky, we catch up to bought an admission
ticket. In the reason is we bought an admission ticket shortly, the Organizers
announced that they will stop sold admission tickets. But they after that
announced that they will early to close the Book Fair at 6 pm. So we had only 2
hours visit Book Fair. Lastly obey organizers and police the direction left for
HKCEC. At that moment is more people left for HKCEC or got off work. So that,
Wan Chai MTR Station is very crowded. We use more than 1hour to take MTR. When
I return to home, it was so windy. Fortunately, I can safe went home. Another, I worry my father, because he went to Main China to work. And
that day will come back. But when I watched the news on the TV at night, more
transport will stop include train and MTR. My father almost stranded in
stations overnight. Fortunately, He can safe went home also. In fact, I can understand MTR Corporation why stop service. The reason
is ensure every passenger is safety. And they need make sure staff will not
harm. We can not only think own interests. And actually they stood in stations
safer than went back to home.
